For decades, the photographs of Brazilian master Sebastião Salgado have become a kind of conscience for a world where nature and humans are vulnerable to the violences of development, of war, of disaster where Salgado has found stark beauty. Wim Wenders engages Salgado and his work in traveling conversations about life, art and the compelling witness of Salgado's work from his native Brazil, adopted France or the world he has claimed as his own. With Salgado's son, Juliano, as co-director – a rich portrait of one artist by others.
